Pixelator

S Trains are now fitted with the most invasive of advertising platforms; tv screens. They weren't running when I was on them but I still stared up at the nearest one wondering whether it would flicker to life and lick my retina with its incandescent radiation. That's the thing about tv's they grab your attention regardless of whether you want them too. They arrest the present moment, holding you captive until at the last moment possible you struggle free and back to plain old everyday life. It's a sad moment in Danish transport history that DSB customers are now paying to be subject to even more advertising.
The video is of what is called a pixelator; a honeycombed structure designed to abstract the information on the screen and render it unintelligible. The screens then operate as abstract video art or aesthetic and atmospheric light pieces. Brilliant.
